Tracktown Retreats is a hospitality business that operates customizable, bespoke running retreats. It was built for runners, by runners, to showcase the beauty and history of the running capital of the world: Eugene, Oregon.
How It’s Done.
Our endeavor began with a simple premise: build an intimate, purposeful retreat experience for runners of any and all abilities to come explore the heart of running — Eugene, Oregon. Tracktown, USA.
But we didn’t want to just be another running camp. We felt compelled to create something that embodied our environment here in Oregon and reflected the things our team cares about: running, community, meaningful conversations and damn good food. We’ve built Tracktown Rereats with this in mind.
The foundation of our run retreats is running, but this is not a training camp. We are a hospitality team that curates your entire experience - the places you'll run, the food you'll eat, the sites you'll see, the people you'll meet - start to finish. Each of our events comes to life through the Tracktown Retreats team and the unmatched Tracktown, USA community. It’s these storytellers — the ones who made history or witnessed it — who provide unparalleled experiences to our guests.
Our retreat HQ is Mount Tom House, an authentically Oregon property tucked away in the Willamette Valley forest. You’ll eat wholesome and thoughtful seasonally-inspired meals, be welcomed with Midwestern hospitality and experience the best of what this community has to offer: scenic runs, a re-imagined Hayward Field, a look into Eugene’s running roots, and a showcase of Oregon’s unrivaled natural beauty.
We’ve enlisted a unique group of local runners who have come to embody the Tracktown community: good runners, yes; but more importantly, better people. Like all of us, running is a thread in the fabric of their identity. Our retreat hosts will share a behind-the-scenes look at what makes Eugene, Oregon the epicenter of the running world.
Where It’s Done.
What We’re Doing.
We are bringing the Tracktown spirit to life by building customizable retreats and experiences for every runner in the birthplace of running — Eugene, Oregon. The reputation of Tracktown, USA has been built by athletes. Professional runners have flocked to Eugene to push their limits on the biggest stage. Our retreats give attendees a chance to not only meet pro runners, but to share stories with them over a meal.
We believe that there are two ways people connect most sincerely with each other: on a run and over a meal. The Willamette Valley bestows us with amazing produce and a vibrant culinary scene. Our team partners with local chefs and purveyors to highlight the delightful tastes of this region. Retreat attendees will enjoy meals alongside our team and other notable members of the Eugene running community.
There's a reason that this place has become a mecca for runners. Eugene offers some of the best, most scenic running in the world -- and unlike some of the high-altitude training bases, you'll enjoy all the fresh, Oregon oxygen your body can handle!
Our team will curate runs each day that highlight the beauty of Oregon and showcase our favorite spots. There is a lot more to Eugene than PRE's trail and over the course of the retreat, attendees will log miles on the same routes that have become iconic to the pros who train in Tracktown, USA.
Bring your curiosity and we’ll take care of the rest.
Who We Are.
At its core Tracktown = community. It’s not owned by a single person, a group of people or a certain generation. It’s the Eugene community who has come to embody the spirit of Tracktown and made this the place for runners. In addition to our core group who started this venture (see below), each of our retreats comes to life through the Tracktown community members. It’s these storytellers — the ones ones who made history or witnessed it — who will share that knowledge with you at each of our retreats.
Ultimately, there will be something for everyone: adult runners, high school runners, high school or club teams, and coaches. Maybe you’ve been to Eugene before, but we promise there is so much more to explore than Pre’s Trail — although we won’t skip that classic!
